I originally trained as an Illustrator and Artist, but have worked in many crafts and mediums over the years. I have always loved and collected glass items .Four years ago I became entranced by the magical properties of Dichroic glass and in effect this medium has now become my paint palette.
There are many ways that Dichroic Glass can be fused to create Jewellery and working in my small studio in Cornwall I love experimenting and am discovering new techniques all the time.
I understand that it is difficult buying Jewellery, especially Dichroic Glass (which is definitely not shown to its best effect ) from a photograph.
A lot of my pieces have depth which can only be appreciated by actually viewing the piece. I try to take as accurate photographs as possible but realise their limitations.
So if for any reason you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, I offer a full money back guarantee on the purchase price of the item (not the postage) once it is returned to me in its original condition.
About Dichroic Glass
Dichroic Glass is a multi layer coating placed on glass by using a highly technical vacuum deposition process. Quartz crystal and metal oxides are vaporized with an electron beam gun in a vacuum chamber and the vapour then floats upward attaches and then condenses on the surface of the glass in the form of a crystal structure. The coating that is created is very similar to a gemstone. The main characteristic of Dichroic Glass is that it has a transmitted color and a completely different reflective color. These two colors shift depending on the angle of view.
